This privacy policy describes how Nōvele (“we”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit novele.ca (the “Site”) or sign up for our waitlist.
1. Information we collect
When you fill out the sign-up form, we collect your first name, last name, email address and phone number. We also automatically collect certain technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) through server logs and cookies (see section 5).
2. Use of information
We use your information only to notify you of the launch of the Nōvele app, send you product news if you have consented, respond to your requests and improve the Site. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
3. Legal basis and consent
We process your information on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7).
4. Disclosure to third parties
Your information may be processed by our service providers acting on our behalf: web hosting (server located in Canada) and the email service used to receive and process form submissions. These providers are required to protect your information and use it only for the intended purposes.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses cookies necessary for its operation as well as fonts loaded from Google Fonts. For details of the cookies placed and to manage your preferences, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as necessary to keep you informed about the launch, then for the period required by law. You may request its deletion at any time.
7. Your rights
In accordance with Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector and, where applicable, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access your information and obtain a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw your consent, and to file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
